Pentecost dove

 Pentecost Service and Potluck Brunch
     May 19, Sunday, 10:00 a.m.

On this day, we hold a single worship service at 10 a.m. Known variously as Pentecost or Whitsunday, this celebration commemorates the Holy Spirit descending upon the Virgin Mary and the disciples after Jesus’ Ascension. For more information on this high holy day, including readings and prayers, see our Pentecost page. (If you can read a foreign language, your help is requested for our special celebration; contact the church office.)

Following the service, we will share a picnic on the church grounds (or the parish hall, in case of inclement weather). The main dish and beverages will be provided. You can help by bringing a dish to share, according to your last name:

A-F: dessert
G-O: vegetable or side dish
P-Z: salad

We have only a few picnic tables, so you may wish to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Please wear red to symbolize the flame of the Holy Spirit! If you can help with set-up or clean-up, contact the church office. See you there!
